Media Vessel Privacy Policy.
We do not collect your data
Media Vessel does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, analyze, or share personal data. It has no developer-operated account, server, analytics, advertising, attribution, telemetry, remote configuration, or crash-reporting service. The app's privacy manifest declares that no data is collected and no tracking takes place.
Stored locally
Your imported photos, videos, GIFs, Live Photos, original filenames, albums, favorites, conversions, thumbnails, and recently viewed history are stored inside Media Vessel's private iOS app container and protected by iOS Data Protection. The developer cannot see your media, your library, your Media Vessel passcode, or your biometric information.
Face ID and Touch ID
Biometric unlock is processed by iOS. Media Vessel receives only an authentication result and uses a device-only Keychain item protected by the current biometric enrollment. The app never receives or stores face or fingerprint data. Your Media Vessel passcode remains the fallback.
Imports and exports
Importing creates a protected local copy. It does not remove the original from Photos, Files, iCloud Photos, Recently Deleted, or another provider unless you separately direct iOS to remove it. Media Vessel's direct PhotoKit requests disable network access; Apple system pickers and third-party file providers you choose may use their own network connection to retrieve the files you select.
Media leaves Media Vessel only after you direct an export through an Apple system interface. The destination you choose controls that copy, and its privacy practices then apply.
Cable transfer folder
Media Vessel's Documents folder is visible in Finder, Apple Devices, and the Files app so you can move files over a cable. Files placed in that folder stay unencrypted until Media Vessel is next unlocked and imports them. The folder uses complete Data Protection and is excluded from backups, and each transfer copy is removed after import.
Purchases
Apple handles payment, subscription trials, renewal, refunds, and restoration. Media Vessel checks Apple-verified purchase information on your device to enable Premium. Your media, filenames, albums, and viewing history are not sent with purchase requests. The developer may receive Apple's App Store sales and subscription reports, which do not identify you to us.
Deletion
Deleting an item moves it to Recently Deleted on this device, which is always on. Media is removed only when you choose Delete Permanently inside Recently Deleted or reset the library. Resetting the library removes its local media, thumbnails, metadata, and passcode. Physical overwrite cannot be guaranteed on flash storage.
Backups stay with you
Media Vessel has no cloud backup and never uploads your library. Its library is marked to be left out of iCloud and device backups. To keep a copy, Back Up to Mac or PC copies your library to your own computer over a USB cable, using Finder or Apple Devices, or sends it with AirDrop. The developer never receives a backup.
No recovery service
Media Vessel has no cloud sync, passcode reset, or developer-operated recovery service. If you forget your Media Vessel passcode, delete the app, lose or erase the device, or reset the library, stored media may be permanently lost.
Permissions
Photos and Face ID permissions are requested only when you choose the feature that needs them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published at this address with a new effective date.
